Posted: Monday, May 7, 2012

Construction swiftly continues on the 4 S Ranch Medical Office Building in San Diego, California. With the shell portion of the project near completion, Lusardi is now working on the interior tenant improvements that consist of seven separate medical suites. A portion of the tenant improvements that Lusardi has undertaken is a 1,200 square foot Linear Accelerator Vault.  This complex vault is designed with certain materials that meet radiation shielding requirements; allowing the practice of intense laser therapy treatment. Presently, Lusardi has provided the structural improvements including a 3’ thick mat slab required for the vault and the retaining walls meant to separate the depressed mat slab area from the ground floor. The enclosure walls are to be made up of high density interlocking concrete blocks suitable for the vault and will be positioned by certified installers. The structure will be topped off with lead roof panels that range up to 2 ½ inches in thickness. Lusardi will complete the entire vault with all the necessary interior finishes including ceiling, flooring, and wall finishes.
