Lusardi Construction has been honored with two McGraw Hill Construction Best of 2010 Awards. The first is the Madison Club for Best Multi Family Residential or Hospitality. This project is a 48,000 square foot clubhouse at the premier private community, Madison Club, in La Quinta, CA. The facilities includes a lounge, locker facilities, underground cart storage, an indoor hot/cold plunge and steam room, full service spa, and complete fitness facility. The main building incorporates a full kitchen, private movie theatre, game room and main lounge that overlook the 18th hole. There are also five private, one bedroom suites located on the second and third floors.
The second is the St. Bartholomew’s Chapel at Rincon Indian Reservation for Best Worship. St. Bartholomew’s Chapel is a 6,600 square foot chapel and fellowship hall located on the Rincon Indian Reservation. The original chapel was destroyed by the Poomacha wildfire that occurred in late 2007. The new chapel was certified LEED Silver and includes two foot thick rammed earth walls with soil harvested on-site allowing the project to rise from its own ashes; 5.8 kW thin film solar PV systems invisibly incorporated into the metal standing seam roof that generates 50% of power needs; custom wood veneered suspension ceiling with a complex shape; tankless water heating system; high efficiency right sized single room A/C-Heating system that minimizes powering up a larger unit for minimal use; LED lighting; and a “Cool Roof” which significantly reduces thermal heat gain.
