Seacoast Inn Imperial Beach, CA
New boutique hotel is underway and consists of a one level 47,600 sf parking structure with 113 parking stalls and a four story 85,000 sf hotel. The hotel is a hybrid building entailing wood and steel construction with a 10,000 sf restaurant, bar and kitchen area, spa and fitness rooms and 78 guestrooms. The below grade parking garage included a 27” thick mat foundation which amounts to 4,150 cubic yards of concrete and was completed in one day. Site improvement work included the installation of 671, 36” diameter stone columns with temporary shoring that included soldier beams and wood lagging.
This environmentally friendly project is utilizing the existing site conditions and innovative design in its pursuit of LEED Certification. The construction of this unique ocean front hotel, parking structure, offsite street and utility improvements prevailing wage project requires the involvement and cooperation with the Developer Pacifica Companies, City of Imperial Beach, and Port of San Diego.
