Phase I of this two-phase project includes two, six-story, steel-framed buildings with lobby and core improvements. Construction is of glass fiber-reinforced concrete (GFRC), glass, and metal panel skins. All buildings are supported on 175’-long piles extending through the landfill and into native soil.
Project includes building and site methane gas mitigation systems and vented asphalt paving. Energy efficient measures include a solar reflective roof; high efficiency HVAC equipment, water-efficient landscaping and a storm water management plan to control site runoff. This project has been approved for LEED® Gold pre-certification with the U.S. Green Building Council and is expected to become the first Gold-certified building in San Jose.
