1075 Terra Bella Facilitates A Nature Inspired Workplace in Silicon Valley

1075 Terra Bella is the epitome of new office design and is a genesis of nature inspired themes woven together to stimulate a workspace that allows users to customize an employee centered ecosystem that encourages team collaboration, innovation and creativity. 

 

The nature-inspired design and architecture by ARC TEC, blended elements from the natural world seamlessly. Features include a 25×25 living wall, floating glass staircase with natural light filtering the space from above, and a garden path that originates on the exterior facade leading in the front lobby and continuing throughout the workspace. 

 

The 20,000 SF 2-story office building features structural spider glazing on the main entry, decorative concrete and landscaping including redwood and wire mesh fencing. The cold dark shell is the first project for Calvano Development.

Adult Rehabilitation Center Opens in Otay Mesa

“Doing the Most Good.” – The Salvation Army

After 40 years in downtown San Diego, the city of Otay Mesa welcomed The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center – its newest non-profit facility with an official ribbon cutting and welcome dedication with Mayor Todd Gloria and Council member Vivian Moreno. The brand new 45,000 SF facility is one of the largest adult rehabilitation centers for the Salvation Army on the west coast and provides treatment for alcohol and drug addiction for up to 120 men. The structured program provides accommodations, shelter, nutritious meals, job training, and counseling services. The facility includes administrative offices for staff, a library and classroom space, over 18,000 SF of residential space, laundry room, kitchen and dining area and outdoor sport courts for basketball and bocce ball.

 

Adjacent to the rehabilitation center is an 85,000 SF warehouse industrial building that will serve as a donation center. The project team included Murphy Development Company and Pacific Cornerstone Architects.
